At the start of each new year, every class votes for 2 new School Council members.
These pupils represent their classmates' views, thoughts, hopes and dreams. We are proud to be a school that listens to its pupils and takes on their ideas and goals as well as much that encourages pupil leadership.
This year, we have 26 new School Councilors; all with passion, kindness and commitment. Miss Birch is our School Council leader and together they meet most weeks to work on ways in which we can support improving our school and community. So far this year the School Council are focusing on:
- Supporting the homeless in our local community
- Being a key part of the academisation process and working alongside the Gorse team to help with things like uniform, values, ethos, logos and beliefs
- Anti-Bullying and positive peers
