History
History curriculum manifesto
The aim of teaching History at Little London Academy is to develop a curiosity in our young people's minds and by the time pupils leave our academy, they are beginning 'to think like historians'. Pupils will develop their knowledge and understanding of History in Britain, as well as the wider world. At Little London Academy, Golden Threads are used to allow pupils to develop their understanding of historical concepts of continuity, change and significance. Our Golden Threads are Settlement, Invasion, Culture, Governance, Empire and Innovation. In an ever-changing world, these threads help pupils develop a firm realisation that despite constant change taking place all over the world, and in Britain, the consistencies of our Golden Threads reoccur over and over again and will always exist.
