Year 6 - Leeds Night Light

Light Landmarks is a school engagement project celebrating 20 years of Light Night Leeds. Year 6 pupils at our academy took part along with a further 200 pupils across Leeds. Looking at the past, present and future of Leeds Light Night, our children worked with artist, Gemma Wood, to explore 'light art', looking at landmarks in our local area as to where this art could be displayed.

Each child then created their own piece of light art using UV paint that was displayed on exhibition at Wellington Place on 22nd and 23rd October 2025. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting the exhibition and seeing our work on show in an actual gallery.
